Team Owlets: Group Bonding
Students lived in Raup House, one of the forest's residences, for the week. They played card games their first evening together: Egyptian Ratscrew, Spoons, and Mafia. Thereafter, they adopted additional favorites including: Twister, Pictionary, and Scrabble. Laughter filled the house most nights, interspersed with phenomenally thought-provoking conversations about the foster care system and revising the public school system. Many evenings, the group would sit around the dinner table talking long after plates were cleared. Everyone quickly became friends in this environment that demanded hard work, good times, and honest communication.
